We recognise that for many people, visiting venues can be a challenge. We have collated some information on how to navigate our building that we hope will help make your journey and experience with us a positive one.
General Access
Arches London Bridge has two entrances – a main entrance on Bermondsey Street and an additional tunnelway entrance round the corner to the left next to Electric Shuffle. Both are step free and fully accessible for wheelchairs.
All exhibition spaces are on a ground floor level and fully accessible. The exhibition space has a slight raised flooring and there is ramped access throughout.

Accessible Toilets
There is an accessible toilet located in Arch 1 near to the cafe to Arches Café.
Parking
Arches London Bridge has no dedicated parking. Southwark Council has a disabled parking bay map that provides the locations of all of blue badge parking bays. These bays usually have a maximum stay of 4 hours.

Wheelchairs
Our ticket desk and café/bar area has lowered counters and all circulation spaces within the Arches are fully accessible for wheelchairs.
Invisible Disabilities
We pride ourselves on our front of house crew, who will endeavour to help you in any way they can. Please ask for anything you need and they will do their very best to assist you. We recognise the Sunflower Lanyard and will endeavour to ask if you need any assistance.
Assistance Animals
We welcome assistance animals. In order to protect the objects in the exhibition and for everyone’s comfort and safety, your assistance animal should be appropriately trained, supervised and kept under your control throughout your visit, ideally remaining on a leash. No animals except assistance animals are permitted in the building.
Where possible, dog owners should bring their Assistance Dogs UK (ADUK), Assistance Dogs International (ADI) or the International Guide Dog Federation (IGDF) identification book and animals should wear the appropriate tabards or harness, but this is not a requirement for entry. If you plan to visit with an animal other than an assistance dog, please get in touch so we can discuss and support your request

Carers
Arches London Bridge operates a Free Carer’s Policy. We will provide a free carer ticket to any customer requiring essential assistance for their visit.
Disabled guests can obtain one free carer’s at the venue providing proof of disability. For proof of disability please bring ONE of the following forms of documentation:
- Entitlement to Disability Living Allowance for children under 16 or DLA/Personal Independent Payments (PIP) for those aged 16-64, either in the form of a letter stating that the benefit has been awarded, or the actual Allowance book.
- Attendance Allowance or Carer’s Allowance letter of award
Incapacity Benefit books, or a letter notifying the recipient that the benefit has been awarded - Incapacity Benefit or Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
- A valid Blue Badge
- In the case of visual impairment, a registration card known as the BD8 or a Certificate of Visual Impairment (CVI)
- A local authority registration document which is local to the attraction where it is being submitted
- A recognised Assistance Dog ID Card
- Credibility’s Access Card
A carer must be over 14 years of age and capable of assisting the guest who has the disability. The carer would be expected to understand the disabled person’s condition and assist them in managing it for the duration of the visit. If more than one carer’s ticket is required, a letter from a GP or consultant is needed stating the number of carers required.

*For the VIP White Glove Experience, ticket holders are able to bring a carer with them but please note that only the VIP ticket holder will be permitted to handle the items.
Rest Points
There are rest points within the first Arch and chairs and benches in the exhibition available for use – please ask our crew for more information.
What to do in an emergency
There are refuge areas for customers with limited mobility throughout the experience. If the building needs to be evacuated, you will be escorted to the nearest refuge area by a member of staff.
